I am a little bemused as to why there is a fire engine crane thing going up outside my window.

I'd rather expect if the flats were on fire I'd know about.

ETA: Caught the fireman (unhunky) going down the stairs. People directly upstairs locked themselves out and left the cooker on. They had to get a fireman (more hunky but not that great) in through a window.
